  Founder  Jerry

  Contact Jerry

     Jerry, 63, has been interested in the paranormal since having an experience in a rental apartment  after returning home from the service. He is married (Georgia, also an associate member of the group) and has a daughter (Marissa, 13.) He has a background in both education and manufacturing, and a good general background in the sciences. He would describe himself as a skeptical believer, with his own theory being that paranormal phenomena are tied in with quantum physics and the multiverse.  
     Jerry currently works two part-time jobs, one as an instructor at a local community college and another as a helper in a local pharmacy.
     He's a graduate of Ohio University with extensive post-graduate continuing education study at Bowling green State University. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.

  Contact Steve

  Steve, 41, happily married to his wife, Beth, since 1990 .  He is a  father of three wonderful children. Steve is a shop manager for Elgin Service Center, a grain bin and steel farm building erecting company.
    Steve's interest in the paranormal started in early childhood.  Due to these experiences, he is trying to find answers.  Steve is also a skeptic and with his scientific background.  he believes that there is an explanation for everything and finding the answer is the interesting part.

    Toby, has worked many years in retail and banking. Currently a domestic engineer, she enjoys staying at home raising her and her husband's two beautiful children.     
    She is an active member of AA-EVP and has been recently published in the AA-EVP News Journal.  she also bring to the group much experience in EVP analysis.
    Toby became interested in the paranormal after her brother's tragic death.  From this experience, she has found that he has communicated with her through EVPs and thus sparked her interest more and now is a vital team member.







  Investigator George

  Georgia is Jerry's wife, and is also interested in the paranormal--especially in UFO phenomena. She has also had a paranormal experience. When she and Jerry were first married, they lived in a house (since torn down) in Ottawa. While working in the dining room next to their (enclosed) staircase, when she heard distinct footsteps on the stairs. After calling Jerry's name, she remembered that she was alone in the house. Finally she got the nerve to open the door to the stairway and no-one was there.
   Georgia enjoys arrowhead hunting, the family pets (six dogs, a cat, and a rabbit) and the history of her family and hometown.

  Ryan, 34,  is a production supervisor for a local manufacturing facility. His hobbies include playing the guitar, fishing, camping, hiking and spending quality time with his family.  
    Ryan brings to the group the most experience.  He is a previous member of COPS of the Columbus area.   He still maintains a skeptical out look of the paranormal, but he has seen enough to believe there is more than what we currently know.

                                                            How R.O.P.I.S. Was Formed

In 2006, good friends Jerry and Steve, whom have always had a fascination with the paranormal, began talking about forming a group to investigate locally in Northwest Ohio. Jerry and Steve then set forth on finding two more members to start the main group. Ryan and Susan,whom had previously been members another paranormal group, expressed an interest in assisting Jerry and Steve form this new group. After multiple communications, the four joined together for now what is known as R.O.P.I.S. (Rural Ohio Paranormal Investigation Society).
